Ultra-thin galvanized layer Electro-Galvanized Coil
Electro-Galvanized Coil is a high-precision steel product that uses an electrolytic process to uniformly deposit a zinc layer on the surface of a cold-rolled steel substrate. Its core advantage is that it can achieve ultra-thin (3-20μm) and uniform zinc layer coverage, a smooth and delicate surface without zinc flowers, and a dimensional tolerance control of ±0.02mm, which is perfectly suitable for precision processing scenarios with strict requirements on surface quality and formability.
Compared with the traditional hot-dip galvanizing process, electro-galvanized steel coils are particularly outstanding in applications that require complex stamping and forming, such as electronic component shielding shells and automotive interior parts. At the same time, environmentally friendly treatments such as chromium-free passivation can meet international environmental standards such as EU RoHS.
The product can be divided into multiple grades according to the weight of the zinc layer (such as 10-60g/m²) and the surface treatment method. Among them, the conductive coating (such as Zn-Ni alloy) is particularly suitable for electronic equipment substrates that require electromagnetic shielding performance.
Modern electrogalvanizing production lines can also realize special processes such as single-sided galvanizing and differentiated coatings, providing customized solutions for emerging fields such as new energy vehicle battery housings and 5G communication equipment. Its excellent coating adhesion and uniformity make subsequent spraying, welding and other processing procedures more stable and reliable, making it an indispensable key material in the precision manufacturing industry chain.
