Product Description
C21000/H96 Brass sheet/plate is a premium low-zinc brass alloy (95-97% copper, 3-5% zinc) that uniquely combines near-pure-copper conductivity with enhanced mechanical properties. With an electrical conductivity of 56% IACS and thermal conductivity of 200 W/m·K, it delivers 90% of pure copper's performance while offering superior strength (tensile strength ~275 MPa) and exceptional resistance to dezincification corrosion - making it ideal for electrical grounding systems, heat exchanger plates, and marine hardware.


Its distinctive red-copper appearance (unlike yellow conventional brass) and natural patina formation are prized in architectural cladding, antique restoration, and luxury decorative applications.


The alloy stands out for its high-temperature stability (serviceable up to 600°C) and ultra-low gas permeability, enabling specialized uses in vacuum chamber fabrication, coinage blanks, and aerospace sealing components.


Unlike standard brass sheets, C21000/H96 exhibits minimal cold-working stress, allowing precision machining into optical instrument frames, precision shims, and musical instrument reed plates without warping. Compliant with ASTM B36 and EN 1652 standards, it fills the critical gap between industrial pure copper and common brass where corrosion resistance, conductivity, and formability must coexist.
